    7. How to get a JSON Response?

    To get the API responses in JSON format, pass contentType=json in the API requuest. JSON responses are only available for ProductDetails, ProductSearch and Store Locator APIs

    3. Receive an ID to use during the widget creation process on sears.com
    11. Where can I see my account?

    You can manage your account and view your revenue on the commission junction site.

    12. Is there a limitation on the number of widgets I can use?

    No, you can use as many widgets as you would like.

    13. Who should I contact if I have an issue?

    If your issue is related to commission junction or your ID, contact commission junction. If your issue is related to your widget or the code, contact sears customer service.

    14. How to get the referral commission by bringing customers to www.sears.com from the developer's community?

    Developers can access the Sears APIs using the developer portal and list Sears products from the Product Search / Product Details API response in their website or a blog, any time when a referral is redirected from the developer’s site to Sears.com and proceed to place an order in Sears the developer would receive the commission for that purchase.

     

    It’s easy. Follow the steps below….

     

    1. Register in Commission Junction and get the PID for your account.

    2. The developers would be making API Web Service call in the following format to access the Product APIs.

     

    Product Search API Web Service Sample URL: (replace the apikey )

    3. When you get the results back this can be displayed by adding a widget in the developer’s page.

    4. Hyper Link the products displayed in the widget with the following tracking CJ PID URL replace the PID with your account (from Step 1) and the partNumber of the product from Sears. Keep the rest of the URL parameters as it is… Any visitor to this page when clicks on the product in the widget will be redirected to Sears.com with the following tracking CJ PID and the url.

    5. After a successful purchase commission junction will credit the account.
